Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer with experience in AWS Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code to join us working with our media client.

The successful applicant will have expertise in AWS cloud services, including Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, AWS CDK with TypeScript, and CodeBuild. Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, and InfluxDB is also essential. Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with a Scrum team are key.

Must-have Key Skills

• Experience with AWS, including Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of AWS CDK with TypeScript and AWS CodeBuild.
• Hands-on experience with React.
• Ability to drive the creation and refinement of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience leveraging tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, and InfluxDB to monitor, observe, and tune systems.
• Working knowledge of AWS CDK and Infrastructure-as-Code (desired).
• Aspiration for high-impact delivery of features at scale (desired).
• Senior leadership is an essential quality.
• Experience writing and taking responsibility for technical documentation.

Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work-based experience.
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, ideally with a focus on media-related projects.
• Strong working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques, and methodologies.
• Experience providing coaching and mentoring.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.
• Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
• Flexible and curious approach to problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
