We are seeking a qualified or nearly qualified Pricing Actuary with experience in automated and digital underwriting distribution.

At our core, actuaries are integral to our success. With your expertise in mathematics, statistics, and the complexities of the insurance industry, you will help us assess, manage, and mitigate risk. This role is central to our operations, driving the foundation of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: You'll work closely with underwriters, senior management, and the UK Digital team to ensure pricing models are consistent and projects are executed collaboratively.
• Model Development and Testing: You'll help develop, maintain, and test pricing models, primarily focusing on integrated pricing and digital underwriting distribution.
• Performance Analysis: Regular tasks include performance reviews, quote conversion analysis, and mix analyses on various products such as Fleet.
• Data Management: Tasks such as catastrophe risk exercises, ULR projections, and reinsurance renewal activities will also be part of the role.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Actuarial Qualifications: You need to be a qualified or nearly qualified actuary.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with programming languages and tools such as SAS, VBA, Python, SQL, or VB.Net is essential.
• Insurance Experience: Familiarity with fleet, commercial package, and agricultural vehicle classes, especially in the London Reinsurance Market, is critical.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail will be key in collaborating with the team and presenting analyses.

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience in Automated/Digital Underwriting Distribution: This is a specific need for the role, indicating that an understanding of the intersection of actuarial work and digital tools for underwriting is crucial.
• International Exposure: You'll interact with teams based in both London and Amstelveen, showing a need for cross-border collaboration.
