I am working with a client who is going through a significant period of growth and are seeking to recruit a Senior Consulting Actuary to join their team.
The Consulting Actuary will provide actuarial consulting services to corporate clients, driving business development, offering advice on pension scheme funding and operations, and contributing to the development of marketing tools and collateral.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop the client's corporate consulting practice, contributing to new business, client meetings, and marketing initiatives.
- Provide actuarial advice on pension scheme funding, statutory reporting, and non-actuarial issues such as legislative changes.
- Prepare and present materials for new business and client pitches.
- Address internal queries on actuarial and pensions issues.
- Handle client queries regarding funding, asset allocation, and scheme operation.
- Attend client meetings and speak at marketing seminars.
- Review own and peer's work to ensure quality.
- Maintain accurate time recording and client billing.
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements and adhere to corporate policies.
- Report any suspected breaches to management.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in actuarial consultancy.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- FIA/FFA qualified.
