About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Data Analytics Engineer to join a leading financial client for a 3-month contract. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid work, with a requirement to be on-site in central London 1-2 days per week in London. You will be a key player in the data analytics team, contributing to the design, implementation, and management of analytics solutions using modern tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain analytics workflows using DBT (Data Build Tool).
  • Leverage Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track and report data insights.
  • Manage and optimise data storage and analysis in BigQuery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver data solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and efficient data pipelines within GCP Cloud infrastructure.
  • Provide actionable insights for stakeholders, contributing to business decision-making.
  • Document and maintain technical specifications, workflows, and other processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues within the platform.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working with DBT for building and managing data pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for tracking, reporting, and analysing web data.
  • Expertise in working with BigQuery for querying, storing, and analysing large datasets.
  • Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically related to data solutions and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience in large-scale data engineering and analytics, ideally within a financial services environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results on tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within Digitally driven, data-driven organisations.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) would be advantageous but not required
