About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housing Systems Data Migration Specialist to join a Social Housing provider at the very start of a major housing management systems replacement project. The current housing management system is end-of-life, and the procurement team has already selected a new system, meaning that the project direction is clear ahead of this person's start.
This role will be crucial in leading the organisation through a critical stage of the project, ensuring a smooth and efficient data migration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all data migration activities within the housing systems replacement project.
- Ensure the successful extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from the legacy system to the new platform.
- Collaborate closely with the project team, including the Systems Specialist, Implementation Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Housing Lead.
- Work with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Optimise SQL queries and scripts to facilitate efficient data migration.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Housing Management System (HMS) experience – with any major providers such as Civica CX, Capita Open/OneHousing, NEC, MIS ActiveH, Aareon QL, or similar.
- Proven experience in data migration, particularly leading data migration activities.
- Strong SQL knowledge and ability to write complex queries.
Desirable Skills
- API experience.
Project & Team
This position will work closely with a recently appointed Systems Specialist who has in-depth knowledge of the new housing management solution being implemented. The wider team consists of an Implementation Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Housing Lead.
The project has significant stakeholder buy-in and a substantial budget allocated, marking it as the organisation’s largest systems change in recent years.
