Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team in the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ensuring system reliability, implementing automation, and working with cutting-edge cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
- Manage and enhance Kubernetes environments to support containerised applications.
- Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Monitor system health and performance using tools such as Dynatrace and Stackdriver/Cloud Operations Suite.
- Optimise cloud monitoring solutions to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability and automation.
- Implement best practices to enhance security, scalability, and performance.
- Lead incident response efforts and drive continuous improvements in system resilience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering role.
- Strong expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Stackdriver/Cloud Operations Suite, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
- Experience leading teams or mentoring engineers is a plus.
