Technical Lead - Data and Software (Motorsport)

Salary: £600-750 per day (Outside IR35)

Location: UK Remote (Occasional Travel To Client in London)

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead or Principal Engineer to join our team in the motorsport industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in motorsport or mechanical engineering, with expertise in data engineering, data science, and software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects focused on data and software solutions within the motorsport industry.
• Work closely with engineering teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
• Oversee software development processes and ensure high-quality engineering practices.
• Act as a technical authority, providing guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Principal Engineer.
• Strong background in motorsport or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in data engineering or data science.
• Solid understanding of software development and engineering principles.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in motorsport.
• Familiarity with race simulation and telemetry data analysis.
