Senior Engineering Manager is required to join a rapidly expanding B2B SaaS scaleup company. The company went through Series A funding towards the end of last year and raised £20million and are now growing considerably. This is the first role at this specific level the company is hiring so it is a very exciting time to be joining.
The position will oversee two squads with a combined total of 10-14 software engineers. Initially this role isn’t a “manager of managers” type of role so you will need to get hands with the developers in terms of code reviews, architectural decisions etc. This will likely change as the teams grow and more squads are formed as the company has very ambitious growth plans. They are looking for someone who has successfully scaled teams previously in fast paced scale up environments ideally through a Series A or B journey for example.
They are looking for someone who can work in the office based in London 3 days a week. The position can pay up to £150,000 per annum depending on experience and includes equity options amongst other benefits.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Serverless technologies
- Ideally a background in Full stack Javascript ie NodeJs, ReactJs, Tyoescript etc although this isn’t essential
- Experience managing multiple squads is essential
- Experience scaling software engineering teams
- Previous experience working in scaleup environments ideally going through the Series A/B etc journey
- Ability to set architectural standards and a high caliber of software engineering standards
