We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Consultant to support a high-profile transformation project within the Housing IT sector. This is a contract role offering a daily rate of £400, outside IR35, with an initial duration of six months and full remote working available.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth experience of planning and executing complex data migration projects within the housing or local government sectors. You will be expected to manage the end-to-end data migration process, including data mapping, data cleansing, extraction, transformation and loading (ETL), as well as ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration lifecycle. A solid understanding of housing management systems such as Northgate, Orchard, Civica or similar platforms will be essential.

You must have a strong technical background, with proven experience using SQL and data migration tools, and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving are critical to succeed in this role. Knowledge of data governance and compliance regulations, including GDPR, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining migration strategies, creating test plans and validation routines, working alongside business analysts and developers, liaising with vendors, and delivering clean and reconciled datasets into the target system. You will also be required to identify and resolve data quality issues, document migration processes, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and highly skilled Data Migration Consultant to play an important role in a significant technology transformation programme in the social housing industry. If you are looking for a challenging role and the opportunity to work on a fully remote basis within a supportive project team, we would like to hear from you.
