Job Description

As an Pricing Manager, you will oversee and manage the pricing models and strategies for their E-Trade business. This role requires close collaboration with various teams across the organisation, including underwriters, IT specialists, business intelligence, and actuaries, to deliver the most effective pricing technology and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert for pricing models that support their E-Trade business.
  • Lead the development and deployment of pricing models, collaborating with IT to ensure accurate execution.
  • Manage the monthly price monitoring process and gradually expand product coverage.
  • Conduct regular reviews of e-traded product pricing, analyse the portfolio, and provide insights on risk quality and pricing actions.
  • Offer general pricing support across the business, including new product development, potential partnerships, and data quality issues.
  • Create and implement a strategy and vision for e-Pricing.
  • Engage with stakeholders, providing regular updates on team progress and developments.
  • Ensure that pricing models and documentation meet both industry and company standards.
  • Lead the European ePricing team and continuously drive improvements in processes for greater efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in the general insurance industry.
  • Ability to quickly understand new concepts and connect information across various business areas.
  • Strong pricing experience, ideally with system-integrated pricing models. Experience collaborating with IT on model implementation and/or data restructuring is a plus.
  • Advanced data skills, with experience in working with large data sets using SQL, SAS, R, or Python.
  • Programming experience and the ability to manage a team of programmers.
  • Familiarity with Radar is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of P&C products, KPIs (such as COR, ULR, rate change), and their impact on profitability.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, from technical to strategic roles.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently about pricing and provide constructive challenges.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a focus on broader objectives.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of Machine Learning and AI.
  • A hands-on approach, combining data management with leadership responsibilities.
