Business Analyst
Rate : £500- £650 Outside IR35
6 months contract
3 days in office in London
This role requires a Business Analyst with extensive knowledge of the London Insurance Market, particularly within the Lloyd’s Market. The successful candidate will work across various areas within the organisation, beyond underwriters, including compliance and claims. A strong operational background is essential, along with experience in working with different areas of technology capabilities.
The primary objective is to improve the current requirements gathering process, reducing technical risk and technical debt.
A deep understanding of cloud architecture within a major Lloyd’s syndicate is crucial. The candidate must possess both business and technical expertise, particularly in claims, underwriting, and insurance technology. Strong process mapping skills are expected as a fundamental part of the role.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for ongoing engagements with underwriters, consolidating current requirements, and analysing use cases. A focused approach to project scope is essential, along with working collaboratively with teams to refine and define effective pre-requirement building processes. The candidate should bring new ideas to enhance underwriter efficiency rather than simply documenting existing processes.
The role entails prioritising use cases with a specific focus on business planning. The ability to produce presentations and analysis more efficiently is highly valued. The Business Analyst will interact with multiple platforms, including underwriting, delegated data systems, and reporting tools. Experience with Agility, OpenBox, Azure, and PowerBI is highly beneficial.
