Data Analyst - Pensions Industry
Salary: £60,000
Location: London (1/2 days a week in central London office)
About the Role
This is a career-making move for a capable Data Analyst with strong business engagement and dashboarding skills (utilising Power BI). The role will take a lead on front-end analytics within the organisation, focusing on Power BI, Azure, and ETL to design dashboards and visualisations. You will be the second hire within the Data team, joining a highly experienced Lead Data Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead on front-end analytics, designing dashboards and visualisations
- Work with Power BI, Azure, and ETL technologies
- Generate your own specifications to build dashboards
- Actively discuss requirements with non-technical stakeholders
- Identify necessary datasets to fulfil requirements
- Review and improve existing reports and dashboards
- Coach Power BI Champions/Super Users
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience generating your own specifications to build dashboards
- Ability to actively discuss requirements with non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to identify which datasets are needed to fulfil a requirement
- SQL proficiency
- Experience with Azure, Power BI, Power Query, and SSRS
- A passion for analytics and a keenness to learn
- Customer-centric and proactive approach
- Ability to work without a Business Analyst by managing requirements and discussions independently
Desirable Skills
- Experience with pensions platforms
- Familiarity with wealth platforms
- Understanding of wealth management
