Senior Integrations Developer / Specialist | London | Up to £59k | Higher Education sector
We are supporting a university on exclusive basis who are in the market for a Senior Integration Specialist to work on a well-defined implementation of a new Student Management System and the BAU support of the university's integrations. The successful candidates will be deputising and be a safe pair of hands to 5 other specialists ensuring strategies and designs for system integrations are robust.

Role: Senior Integration Specialist
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid | 1 day a week - London
Salary: £46,485 - £59,513 - depending on experience and skills

What we need to see as essential:
- Development experience relating to ETL, SSIS & SSRS
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases & using SQL to query MySQL/MSSQL Databases
- Knowledge of C# OR Python
- Working with Azure Data factory - data integration services on Azure platform
- Ability to translate non-technical requirements to technical solutions
Key Projects You will be involved in:
The overarching strategy is to improve student and staff experience and the project will have the following phases:
- Moving from legacy system to more widely used student record system
- Migrating legacy integration programmes on SSIS, rebuilding them and hosting them on the Azure platform
- Integration with an extensive portfolio of existing University's student applications - other ERP systems (HR & Finance)
- Business Change and Transformation associated with new processes and student journeys
Reporting to the head of Integrations, the successful candidate will deputise the Head of Integrations & work in an exciting implementation project to replace the existing student management system to a new one. The main remit of the role is collecting, analysing, and translating data integration and reporting requirements into robust solutions meeting stakeholder requirements. But also to be a safe pair of hands with the junior integration specialists. Knowledge of data structures and warehousing, ETL solution development, SOA, SQL, web services, reporting technologies; Business Intelligence; and Data Management (master data management).

Across all these projects, you will be given the autonomy in ensuring effective communication with students and staff, address issues proactively, and produce accurate data and reports to support decision-making.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in higher education sector
- Experience leading / managing a team
- Knowledge of Stutalk and SITS Student record systems
- Experience working with data visualisation tools - PowerBI, Tableau and QlikView
- Experience migrating from one student record system to another
- Agile project management knowledge and experience
- Experience with window Linux
- Experience working with major ERPs in HE ( Timetabling, HR, Finance)
