We are thrilled to be partnering with a client who is in the market for a SITS Analyst Developer to work alongside the development team to enhance the current SITS processes as well as develop solutions that can improve the overall student experience. This is a role that can give the successful candidate the autonomy they are after and a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get hands on experience developing the full student lifecycle on SITS.

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Hybrid | London | 2 days per week

Salary: £41,360 - £50, 255

What we need to see as essential:

  • Development of e: Vision and SITS:vision (Tasking, SRLs and Vistas)
  • Good level understanding HTML, CSS OR JavaScript/ SQL OR dealing with large datasets (querying and analysis)
  • Proactive, self-motivated and strong communication skills



The role:

This role is situation in registry; comprised of talented individuals who are well regarded in the sector. The SITS team is relatively close knit and small who sometimes rely on an external contractor to support during busy periods. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar the successful candidates will be involved with a wide range of key projects given the size of the organisation. The post holder will have a chance to be involved in developing the SITS student record system across the full student lifecycle to enhance the student experience. The team does their own SITS upgrade in house and have established release cycle. Some key projects that are upcoming include:

 

Projects will include:

  • The finance module of SITS needs to be reviewed over the course of year or so
  • Integration and data feed with other systems is something that is being looked at
  • The maintenance of the online application will involve how the process is also developed so that it is future proof

The organisation understands the importance of professional development and there is significant investment allocated to help employees succeed in their positions. The post holder will be an integral part of the registry team and will be expected to gain knowledge and insight into the institution to assist with core registry tasks around Admissions and assessments. This will allow them to take full ownership of their role, give them autonomy and allow them to imprint their mark on the student experience at GSMD.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing on Evision design, development, testing and implementation include creation of tasks, vistas, SRLs and SRL Syntax. As well as SITS:vision, e:vision, SID and relevant systems
  • SQL Scripting / Data extraction
  • Unit Testing, bug fixes which will also include documentation of technical solutions
  • Administration and support of the university's SITS student record system



Desirable skills:

  • Developing e:vision/SITS creating tasks and writing complex reports in a big project
  • Demonstration of wider SITS knowledge (Admissions, Finance, Curriculum, progressions, graduation)
  • Bespoke integration knowledge and experience to SITS (StuTalk)
  • Understanding the challenges of working in a smaller organisation
